Thanksgiving on the Outer Banks 2017

Outer Banks Thanksgiving Restaurants – Carving out time for with your family and friends is probably the most important things you can do during the holiday season. Just sit back, relax and let someone else do to cooking and cleaning. For 2017, there are many restaurants open during Thanksgiving on the Outer Banks. Make a reservation at one of the following restaurants.

Duck

Lifesaving Station Restaurant @ The Sanderling – Sit down to a 4-course plated meal; some of the meal choices include Blue Crab Quiche, Free Range Turkey Rouladen, Seared Scallops, Beef Tenderloin stuffed with flavor and finishing up with Flourless Chocolate Torte or Bourbon-Pecan Cheesecake. This is fine dining at its best. They will be open from 12:00–8:00pm. Adults $55; Kids ages 4-12 $25. 

Red Sky Café – Freshly made Thanksgiving buffet, with all the traditional offerings plus Fried Oysters, Shrimp & Grits, Prime Rib and so much more. 10:00am- 4:00pm Adults $26.95; Kids 12 & under $13.95. Reservations are strongly recommended 252-261-8646

Sunset Grille & Raw Bar –  Located right on the water in Duck they will be serving turkey and all the traditional dishes, plus shrimp, flounder, oysters, crab cakes and lots more!! Open from 12:00 until 6:00. Adults $24.95, Children 2-12 $12.95. Call 252-261-3901 to make reservations.

Tommy’s Natural Foods Market – If you are set on eating Thanksgiving at home but want to cut down on all the prep work you can order everything you need from Tommy’s Market either fully cooked or ready to cook. Just download their order form and call 252-261-8990 to place your order, it will be ready for pick.

Kitty Hawk

Argyles – Buffet style dining with over 25 items; such as Turkey, Grass-Fed Prime Rib, Crab Stuffed Shrimp with Lobster Sauce and so much more. Open from 11:00am-4:00pm. Adults $27.95; children under 10 are half price.

Hilton Garden Inn – Will be serving a 3 course plated meal. Traditional Thanksgiving fare. Make reservations by calling 252-261-1290. Adults $16.99, kids under 10 $8.50 and 3 and under are free. 

Kill Devil Hills

Captain George’s Seafood – Traditional Thanksgiving buffet, also including crab legs, shrimp, and so many other options that there is some to satisfy everyone!! Open 11:30am–9:00pm. Adult buffet is $32.99, children ages 5-12 are $17.99, and children ages 4 and under are free. 

Mako’s Beach Grille & Bar – Will be serving their full menu all day long!! In additional from 12:00-8:00pm they will be serving a plated traditional Thanksgiving meal consisting of turkey, ham, dressing, potatoes and more. (Includes desert) The plated meal will $16.95 for adults and $6.95 for children under 12.

Nags Head

Basnight’s Lone Cedar Café – Their 10th Annual Thanksgiving Buffet will have fresh local food. Too much to list here, but a few stars of the show are Green Tail Shrimp, Sea Scallops, Fried Oysters, Baked Rockfish, Turkey, and Pork Loin with a Jack Daniels Pecan Glaze. They are open from 10:30am – 7:00pm. Adults $35.00; Kids under 12 are $18.00 and under 5 are FREE.  Make reservations by calling 252-441-5405

Dirty Dick’s Crab House – Will be serving up their ever-favorite Thanksgiving buffet, including a carving station with turkey, pork, ham, all the traditional Thanksgiving offerings, plus tons of seafood. Open 10:30 am–6:00 pm. Adults $28.99, seniors $23.99, kids 10 & under $12.99. TO-Go & “Left Overs” per pound $9.99. Add $12.99 for AYCE Snow/Dungeness Crab Legs.

JJ Brewbaker’s -Join them for a delicious Coastal Carolina Traditional Thanksgiving Feast. Enjoy as much as you care to eat from their 64 item buffet. Dessert is included, and you are welcome to take it with you for later. Adults $24, Seniors 65 and over $18, Children 12 and under $10 plus locals will receive a 20% local discount. Reservations are recommend since space is limited. Call 252-255-3346 or 252-455-4640.

Kelly’s Restaurant & Tavern – Celebrate with friends and family. Kelly’s will have their traditional Thanksgiving Day Buffet that will include all the traditional fare but will also have some Outer Banks favorites like Hatteras Clam Chowder, Oysters Rockefeller, and Carolina Coast Boullabaisse to name a few. Service will be from 10:30am-7:30pm. Adults $38.00, Kids ages 5-12 are $14.00 and under 5 are free. Make reservations at 252-441-4116

Mulligan’s Raw Bar & Grille – Take in the ocean views while enjoying and Thanksgiving Buffet. Mulligan’s will be featuring all the traditional Thanksgiving fare along with some coastal cuisine such as Oysters Rockefeller, Flounder, Shrimp and Grits, Crab Cakes more. They will be open from 11:00am – 6:00pm Adults $32.00, Seniors $26.00 Kids 10 & under $16.00. Call 252-480-2000 for reservations.

Owen’s Restaurant – 34th year serving Thanksgiving dinner!! Enjoy a Southern Coastal Cuisine Thanksgiving Buffet. Featuring turkey, prime rib, stuffing, desserts, stuffed lobster, Hatteras seafood combination, and more—you gotta just see the menu. Open 12–8:30 pm. Adults $34.95, ages 6-12 $17.95, under 5 is FREE.

Pamlico Jack’s – Serving their famous Thanksgiving Buffet & Oyster Festival!! Bottles of wine under $16. Open from 10:30 until 7:00. Adults $35.50, Seniors $27.00, Children under 12 are $16.95, and kids under five are FREE. Call 252-441-2637 for reservations.

Currituck

Currituck BBQ – They are taking orders for our delicious fried or smoked turkeys and smoked hams. Orders for Smoked Turkeys need to be in by a November 15th and orders for Fried Turkeys or Smoked Hams must be in by November 17th. Place your order by calling 252-453-6618

 

thanksgiving outer banksOnce you have had your fill of Thanksgiving fare, fight the tryptophan and go explore this beautiful sandbar!! There is plenty to do. You can enjoy and explore anyone of our beautiful beaches, venture out on a hike on one of the many trails in the Outer Banks or up Jockeye’s Ridge State Park, the tallest sand dune on the east coast. On Friday, you can get your picture taken with Santa at Jockey’s Ridge Crossing and stick around to see the Kites with Lights. Fall is a great time to visit the Outer Banks, we still have so many events and fun activities.

    The Jolly Roger will have an all-you-can-eat Thanksgiving dinner for $16.95. Mile post 6.5 on the beach road. 252-441-6530
